Flying for many customers can already be a terrifying experience that many create in their own mind while imagining all of the “what if’s” involved in flying. Many passengers flying to Newark Airport from Scotland on a recent United flight got to experience a very rare “what if” this past Saturday.
United Pilot Accused of DUI
It has been confirmed that two United Airline pilots were arrested for allegedly being drunk before they were scheduled to fly 141 passengers to Newark Airport from Scotland. This arrest took place at the Glasgow Airport. The two men were 35 and 45. “The two pilots have been removed from service and their flying duties,” United spokeswoman Erin Benson said. “We are cooperating with the authorities and will conduct our own investigation as well. The safety of our customers and crew is our highest priority.” The flight was delayed for nearly 10 hours while the airline attempted to find replacement pilots.
